Reinforcing rivets are designed for joining aluminium parts, where great emphasis is placed on the high strength of the joint in tension and shear. Deformation of the rivet is resolved in such a way that varied strength is yielded and reinforcement is always resistant. After riveting, the top part of the spike remains inside the body, which doubles its walls and the entire joint then achieves greater strength.
